HISTORY
WayMaker for Business was founded in 2020 by Eileen Russell, who recognised both the urgent need for children’s mental health support in Northern Ireland and the opportunity to use play as a powerful tool for business. After building a successful private practice and drawing on over 15 years of strategic experience, she established a social enterprise to ensure every child could access therapy, regardless of family circumstances.
As the organisation developed, we saw how our in-depth knowledge of play — and its ability to unlock creativity, problem-solving, and resilience — could also transform the way businesses work. This became the foundation of WayMaker for Business: helping organisations achieve serious results by applying the principles of play to strategy, innovation, and team alignment.
